News 'n' Brews

News . . .

The Star Tavern in Belgravia re-opened today after a month-long refurbishment.  No glass and chrome here, the ambiance takes you ‘back in time’ to when a pub looked like a pub.  Full marks to Fuller’s for preserving a sparkling example of London’s heritage.

The White Horse has also just re-opened after a two-week closure for a makeover.  No reports yet as to what has or hasn’t changed.  We’re just happy they’re open again serving the same great beer!

Calling Old Tom – Dennis from St Helens is looking for a pint of Robinsons Old Tom.  About a year or so ago, the brew was spotted in a pub ‘directly across from Leicester Square Station’. Was it the Moon Under Water?  Was it another nearby pub?  More to the point, is Old Tom still there?  Drop a note to the West London Branch Contact.

… and Brews!

Here is the beer that West Londoners have been raving about for the past two weeks.  All of the beers on this list have been scored ‘3’ or higher (NBSS scoring system) by qualified enthusiasts.
